Meet Ginger Wanko

 
 

Hi, I'm Ginger Wanko ~ certified personal trainer, 55 year old athlete of life, wife, mom of two pretty amazing humans (a U.S. Navy sailor currently serving in the submarine fleet and an 19 year old daughter who is attending The University of Maryland), a lover of vegetable gardening, hiking, yoga and strength training, and mom to two furry girls.

I’m also a recovering perfectionist. That last bit is an ongoing challenge, noticing how perfectionism can continue to creep its way back into our daily actions and choices.

My three mantras: 
1-Eat real food; I'm not selling any supplements or quick fixes (but I do sell awesome activewear!). 
2-Progress, not perfection; applies to learning to improve our eating and movement habits as well as our mindset. 
3. Stress resilience is a (priceless) life skill everyone can foster and develop. As we age, it’s even MORE vital.

I understand ALL the balls women juggle to care for our families, our aging parents, and jobs, and often it means we put ourselves last. I equip women to create healthier habits so they can learn to nurture themselves. A woman whose self is nurtured and cared for is better equipped (and better able) to care for herself AND those that depend on her.
