Hi, I’m Ginger!
I’m a certified personal trainer and health coach with a passion for helping women over 40 navigate life’s challenges while building healthier, sustainable habits. As a 56-year-old wife, mom of two (a U.S. Navy sailor and a nursing student), and self-proclaimed athlete of life, I’ve worn many hats—some with more balance than others!
My own journey wasn’t a straight line to health and fitness. I wasn’t an athlete growing up. My fitness journey began in my 20s with step aerobics, weightlifting and long walks on layovers with my walk-man (totally dating myself)! In my late 30’s and early 40’s I was juggling motherhood, helping with the PTA at my kids' school, along with a demanding airline career that took a serious toll on my health. On top of that, I overextended myself as a fitness instructor at our Y, convinced that more was always better—more workouts, less sleep, and nonstop multitasking. After all, I could do ALL THE THINGS. But eventually, it all caught up with me.
By 2012, I was exhausted, in chronic pain with a lumbar herniation, pre-diabetic, and at my lowest point emotionally and physically. Starting therapy, shifting my priorities, and a renewed focus on my health transformed my life over the course of a few years. I left my airline career, became a certified trainer, and blended my passion for customer service and fitness into helping women like you rewrite their health stories.
I understand the myriad of balls women juggle to care for our families, our aging parents, and jobs, and often it means we put ourselves last. I equip women to create healthier habits so they can learn to nurture themselves. A woman whose self is nurtured and cared for is better equipped (and better able) to care for herself AND those who depend on her.
I educate and empower my clients in areas of nutrition, movement, strength training and lifestyle behaviors to better equip them to thrive as they navigate their peri to post menopause years.
My three mantras:
1-Eat real food; I'm not selling any supplements or quick fixes.
2-Progress, not perfection; applies to learning to improve our eating and movement habits as well as our mindset.
3. Stress resilience is a (priceless) life skill everyone can foster and develop. As we age, it’s even MORE vital.
As women, we face unique risk factors for sarcopenia, osteopenia, osteoporosis, depression, and in some cases, Type-2 diabetes. Helping my clients learn to incorporate strength training to both foster improved bone density, and manage their blood sugar as they age, is a focus of my work. My approach goes beyond workouts and meal plans—I’m here to guide you through mindset shifts, habit building, and real-life strategies that help you thrive, no matter how busy life gets.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me sipping coffee (or tea!), reading, hiking, strength training, or making kombucha in my kitchen. I’m also a recovering perfectionist—proof that we’re all works in progress.
Let’s work together to create a lifestyle that supports your health goals, because when women take care of themselves, they’re better equipped to care for those they love. Ready to take the first step?

I specialize in working with women of all ages. Together, we make lifestyle changes that support healthy eating, regular exercise, and stress management.
A study of 29,629 patients found that higher levels of HbA1c, a long-term marker of blood glucose, were associated with a 28% higher risk of almost all cancers¹. ¹ Study reference: PMCID: PMC6770430.
